The session started off with a presentation, on the significance of World Coffee Day and some interesting facts about coffee, by Mr. Chirag Prakash Arora. The students were taught the process of French Press coffee, Pourover coffee, and Cold Brew coffee along with the live demonstrations. Coffee-based beverages and desserts like cappuccino, macchiato, latte macchiato, cafe latte, flat white, and einspänner were also made.
Additionally, the students also learnt the process of making homemade coffee liqueur and of using the French Press at home to froth milk.
The 2nd half of the event saw the usage of coffee beyond the ordinary- as coffee cocktails!
Mr. Chandan Bhattacharjee mesmerized the students with his demonstrations of the Black Russian cocktail using vodka and Kahlúa coffee liqueur, and the classic B53, which is a layered concoction of Kahlúa, Baileys Irish Cream and vodka.
Ending the session on a sweet note, Chef Trinath Pal made the classic coffee-flavored Italian dessert with his own personal touch.
